Administration

Principal

Success is always sweet, but can only be achieved through a journey. The journey may involve going through the bumpy and rocky roads. It may also involve going through the muddy pathways or highways with many roadblocks that slows down the movement. However, the strong-willed do not give up on the way, but will always ensure that they reach their destined places.

We are destined for greater achievements – not only in academics arena but also in the infrastructural development. Last year, we were able to transit 31 students to Kenyan public universities – a remarkable rise from 18 in 2017 and 19 in 2016. Thirty six (36) more have transited to diploma courses. However, our ‘D’ grades are still wanting and we are working round the clock to ensure they are minimized.

Our mission statement is ‘offering quality education to equip learners to be knowledgeable, responsible and self-reliant.’ We offer not only spiritual needs to our learners, but also the counselling therapy so that as they grow up, they are moulded into future responsible citizens.

Our road to success has not been void of myriads of challenges; water is still our major challenge in this
set up. There are also incidences of truancy which our parents have always helped us to deal with. We are also short of a number of infrastructural components to help us be in tandem with the pressure of 100% transition. These include the need for more dormitories due to upsurge in population. More classrooms are also needed to reduce class congestion. Thanks to the Ministry of Education that facilitated our school to access the transitional infrastructure grants amounting to 4 million in 2017 that enabled us to start up a storey structure. We appeal for more funds from our able County Director of Education to enable us complete the project.

Finally, to our dear parents, teachers, students and well-wishers; we implore you to support us in our endeavours. Our school has been upgraded to an extra-county school status. This new status comes with responsibility. We need your support to enable us meet our targets. Parents must fulfil their obligation in paying fees promptly to enable us fulfil our mandate.

To our stakeholders, we endear you. We need your support. We even tolerate criticism. Let your criticism be those that are positive to help us better the areas that are still wanting. We are looking forward to your continued support to help us build a better Kuoyo Kochia Boys Sec. School

Mr. Amadi Joshua

The Principal.
