Give the world the best you have, and the best shall come back to you” Madelne Bridges. This statement is in tandem with Kuoyo Kochia Boys secondary school motto of ‘knowledge and service’. The test of how much you know is in the use of the knowledge to serve the society. This is our main focus at KKBSS.
I wish to thank our students at Kuoyo Kochia Boys for the discipline and hard work that has seen our school shine. Their discipline and motivation to work hard keep encouraging us to focus on how to make a better future for them. As the academic chairman of the board, I am particularly very happy with our students who are in fact our pride. Our greatest Angels and treasures at Kuoyo Kochia Boys are our dedicated and hardworking staff led by our determined man of God, Principal Joshua Amadi. So committed are our teachers that one would not find an empty staffroom even at 9 pm on any day.
Let us always be encouraged that a person’s life changes when he/she stops working to become rich and begin working for everyone to become richer and empowered. It is all about kindness and the power in our hearts to change the world. Having found a working team, we are more focused on moving KKBSS to greater heights. We should be getting a mean of 6.5 in 2019, 7.5 in 2020 and 8.5 in 2021. Every cohort should therefore work for their mean. We expect our students to come to the school as boys in form one and leave as professional gentlemen. This is the reason why we are building a culture of academic excellence and good character formation.
Finally, I wish to thank our BOM led by the chairman Hon. Eng. Philip Okundi for keeping the school focused in the right direction. Kudos baba. Team, some of you may feel right now that they cannot move forward in life, but could the reason be simply that you are struggling alone? There is a limit to what one person can accomplish single handedly, so if you really want to succeed in this world, you have to have other people on your side, supporting and helping you. Let us all be part of the team.
I end by quoting William Ellery Channing, “It is chiefly through books that we enjoy intercourse with superior minds. In the best books, great men talk to us, give us their most precious thoughts, and pour their souls into ours. God be thanked for books. They are the voices of the distant and the dead, and make us the heirs of the spiritual life of past ages. Books are true levelers. They give to all who will faithfully use them, the society, the spiritual presence, of the best and the greatest of our race.”
Thank you all and May God bless Kuoyo Kochia Boys Secondary School.
Eng. Daniel Ogenga
