Administration

Deputy Principal

At the beginning of this year, having celebrated and reviewed our performance in the 2018 KCSE examination, we resolved as a school that 2019 is a year of scaling greater heights. This determination to improve is already manifested in the way teachers resolutely perform their duties and most students strive to excel.

Indeed, one of the lessons learnt well in our progressive journey is that discipline, hard work and prayerfulness are vital cogs in the wheels of success. This underscores our insistence that good grades must be encased with good morals and co-curriculum excellence.

We are indebted to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Discipline Committee, Christian Union and Department of Guidance and Counselling for forming a steady moral compass to guide our students. Additionally, every Wednesday, the Principal meets all the students to get their views on teaching and learning process and their welfare. This weekly assembly has proved to be very effective and is one of the reasons majority of our boys exhibit high levels of discipline.

Numerous detractors capable of deviating learners from the path to their dreams are abound. What is needed is a common effort by the school and home to ensure they stay focused and within the acceptable social boundaries. I therefore urge parents and guardians not to tire following up on their sons’ progress and providing them with the requisite academic materials and boarding items.

And while there may be underlying issues between parents, it is imperative to shield these young minds from such conflicts. I have noted a trend in which some students who incessantly exhibit wayward behaviors or register sharp decline in scores are reacting to situations at home.

On curriculum implementation, we lay emphasis not only on timely coverage of the syllabus but also on the quality of delivery. As a school, we are cognizant that our core duty is to prepare learners for future academic exploits and trainings by giving them the very best at this level. This is the reason we follow up on our alumni’s performance in institutions of higher learning and TVETS.
